Hotel

The Loews Lake Las Vegas is sold out for Saturday and Sunday night, August 23rd and 24th. Please see below for other hotel options.

Note as of June 22, 2008: if the website shows no availability at the discounted rate for the times selected, please call the hotel directly as there have been intermittent problems with the online reservation system.

The KDD 2008 conference will take place in the Las Vegas area, at the Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort, 101 Montelago Boulevard, Henderson, Nevada.

A rate of $159 (single/double) will be available to conference attendees for reservations between August 21st-30th, 2008. This rate will be inclusive of the resort fee, but not include taxes, housekeeping fees of $2.50 per room per day and bellman roundtrip of $7.50. Cut-off date for room reservations at this rate will be July 25th, 2008. Reservations can be made by calling 1-800-23-LOEWS or the hotel directly at 702-567-6000, and stating that you want the KDD group rate using group code: ACM824. The hotel's reservation office on property is open from 7 am - 8 pm PST. When calling the hotel directly, you will be asked to press (1) for Group or (2) for Transient. Pressing (1) will transfer you directly to the hotel rather than the Central Reservations Number (reservations agents at the hotel are more familiar with the group code reservations process than Central Reservations agents).

For online reservations, please follow these instructions:

  1. Visit the Loews Hotel website: http://www.loewshotels.com
  2. Under the "Book a Room" section on the left side of the page, select "Henderson, Nevada", enter your check in and check out dates, and then click the "MORE SEARCH OPTIONS" link which will open up more fields.
  3. Under "Partner Program", select "Group", and then under "Code", enter in "ACM824".
  4. Note as of June 22, 2008: if the website shows no availability at the discounted rate for the times selected, please call the hotel directly as there have been intermittent problems with the online reservation system.

Some may have been concerned about reports on the Lake Las Vegas bankruptcy. Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort is owned by Loews Corporation and is not involved with the Lake Las vegas financial matter, which involves the residential real estate in the area. Our KDD-08 conference hotel, golf course, etc. will continue to operate normally.

For any further inquiries or help with hotel registrations, please contact Kelly Miller at kmiller@loewshotels.com or 702-567-6000 ext 4118. Please also feel free to contact the local arrangement co-chairs if you need any other assistance.

Other Hotel Options

The following hotels are also options for those who cannot or do not wish to stay at the Loews Las Vegas. Note: Many of the hotels in the area are filling up quickly. Some may not have their least expensive rooms available anymore. When booking, you may want to check to see if you can book different tiers of accommodation (e.g. single bedroom and studio) to keep the cost of your trip down. In general, less expensive accommodations may be during the weekdays.
